Allison Meyler

Artist Information

Allison Meyler is a contemporary artist known for vibrant, expressive paintings that explore the female figure, identity, femininity, and the complexities of the human experience. Working from sketches of live models, Meyler transforms the figure through layers of acrylic, mixed media, color, and gesture, creating compositions that are at once bold, playful, and emotionally charged. Her stylized figures, often fragmented or boldly simplified, invite the viewer to consider the ways we see, inhabit, and experience the body.

Meyler earned a dual degree in Studio Art and Art History from Wellesley College and continued her studies at the Tyler School of Art in Rome. Her work has been exhibited extensively throughout Connecticut and New York, including juried exhibitions at the Ridgefield Guild of Artists and Silvermine Guild of Artists. Her work was selected for Art of the Northeast, juried by Tom Eccles, and has also been represented by Serena & Lily.
