SH Modern was recently featured in the Lincoln County News spotlighting it’s Charitable Partnership with Veggies to Table in an effort to combat child hunger.

Working tirelessly to help poverty-stricken children and families in Maine, nonprofit Veggies to Table and SH Modern Art have partnered in hopes of decreasing the staggering number of children who rely on the school system for their next meal.

SH Modern Art strongly believes in supporting unique projects that improve lives and has agreed to donate a percentage of all art sales to Veggies to Table through March.

“We decided to partner with Veggies to Table when we realized how aligned our core values are when it comes to health and environment,” said Sallie Hirshberg, art historian and owner of SH Modern. Hirshberg brings more than 30 years of experience in fine art counsel to businesses and private collectors. “By supporting each other we can help families in need and supply them with healthy, organic produce, all the while protecting the environment.”

“Sallie’s timing of our Veggies to Table and SH Modern Art collaboration was perfect. As an estimated over 20% of people in Maine go hungry daily and 43% of students qualify for free meals, help is needed.“ said Erica Berman, founder of Veggies to Table. “We are excited and grateful for this opportunity.”

From art acquisitions of Rembrandt etchings, Picasso linocuts and specialized work from contemporary artists, SH Modern offers a diverse portfolio of art for the novice to avid collector. For more information, go to shmodernart.com.

Veggies to Table grows and donates top-quality organic produce and flowers to local people experiencing food insecurity, creates lasting community connections through its volunteer program, and provides education on healthy food. For more information, go to veggiestotable.org.
