A Spring Group Exhibition Exploring Light, Landscape, and the Emotional Power of Nature.

SH Modern is pleased to announce The Sky Meets the Sea, a captivating spring group exhibition that celebrates the
profound emotional resonance of nature through luminous abstract seascapes and landscapes.

Featuring works by acclaimed artists Kathy Buist and Arturo Samaniego, the exhibition brings together these
distinct artistic voices whose practices each explore the meeting point of earth, water, light, and atmosphere.

Through their varied approaches, the show invites viewers into a serene yet powerful visual dialogue that honors
the beauty, movement, and stillness of the natural world.

Kathy Buist, honored by Fine Art Connoisseur as one of “Today’s Masters,” is known for her poetic abstractions
that capture the ethereal atmosphere of shifting light and memory. Working with natural materials such as crushed
shell and sand, Buist infuses her canvases with organic texture and depth. Her work has been exhibited in
prestigious institutions, including the Parrish Art Museum and the National Women’s Museum Archives, and is
held in distinguished private collections worldwide.

Arturo Samaniego, a nationally recognized painter, creates richly textured works that bridge contemporary
abstraction, architecture, and interior design. Whether through minimalist neutrals or bold layered compositions, his paintings transform spaces and invite contemplation. Featured in American Art Collector, International Artist Magazine, and Juxtapoz, Samaniego’s work reflects both technical mastery and the courage of artistic reinvention.
